How to use SiteWorx to configure email filters to delete or quarantine unwanted email for your Nexcess account.
What you need
- An email account with local mail delivery enables. If you need to enable local mail delivery for your domain's email account, refer to the article Disabling/Enabling Local Mail Delivery.
- You must know your SiteWorx login web address and your login credentials to follow these procedures.
- If you do not know your password, click Forgot your password on the login page.
- If you do not know the web address for your SiteWorx login page, either refer to your Welcome Email or contact our 24/7 support team for assistance.
Filtering email from an address
- From the SiteWorx main menu, click Administration > Mail Options > Filters.
- In the Mail Filters section, click Add mail filter.
- The Email Filter Rules panel appears. In the Filter Type drop-down list, select the Block e-mail with sender containing if it is not already selected.
- In the Value field (see above), type the complete or partial email address complete that you want to block. For example, you can specify @spammer.com, to block all incoming messages from that domain.
- Click Add (see above). The Mail Filters section now shows the new blocked sender.
Filtering email containing specific subject text
Follow the steps below to create a mail filter for messages containing specific text in the subject line.
- From the SiteWorx main menu, click Administration > Mail Options > Filters.
- In the Mail Filters section, click Add mail filter.
- From the Filter Type drop-down list, select the Block email with subject containing option.
- In the Value field, type the subject text to be blocked.
- Click Add. Your chosen spam text will now appear in the Mail Filters section.
