You will be joining our small team of developers on an established project. The software you'll be working on is a data center management all-in-one solution. We have a large list of features to add and other aspects to tweak/fix. You will be working with the rest of the team to accomplish those goals.
This position is for a full time System Administrator who will be based out of our Dearborn, MI Data Center with travel to our other Data Centers in the Detroit metro area. We are a Linux based Web hosting company who needs someone to help out on the hardware side of our growing operation. This position is for night-time and/or overnight.
You will be joining our existing team of System Administrators and will be expected to learn quickly. We need a highly focused and highly organized person who can quickly research, validate and implement changes. While you will have a training period we do expect you to work on many tasks autonomously and expect you to be able to self-diagnose issues and suggest and/or implement solutions.
Salary is negotiable and is based on experience with health benefits after 90 days. In your cover letter, please elaborate on your experience and your organizational skills. Giving examples of large disorganized messes you've turned in to a maintainable organized systems would be great and laying out performance optimizations you've done to medium to large systems and their effect would be ideal.
This position is for a full time, entry level Linux Support Technician working on site at our data center in Dearborn, MI (no telecommuting). Basic Linux skills are required, we use Linux exclusively. This is an entry level position but opportunities for advancement are possible as we are a growing company.
Students and Linux server hobbyist are welcome to apply as long as you are proficient with doing everything on the command line.
